Question three

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

From my audience feedback I have learned that people have different views on what scary is, I also found that people are more scared if there is more of a break in the sound, so building tension can be used with silence.

From others feedback I feel like the website was quite successful, the feedback that I got was that it works well that there are animated aspects to my website and that it works nicely that the trailer starts playing straight away. I have also found from feedback that people think that my trailer itself fits with the conventions and shows that it is horror well, which is good as this was one of my aims.

In the trailer, I decided to do some of the filming in a studio, although this gave it a good dark and unclear effect, I have had feedback that says that it is unclear and doesn't quite work, so this is something I would look to improve on in the future.

Comments on my work have shown me that it is a good idea to get a second opinion on work, this is because you aren't making the product for yourself, you are making it for the audience, and in some cases what's effective for you may nit always be the best for the audience, so this is always good to look into.

When producing and editing a trailer it is important to keep continuity, but not give away too much of the story line. Its about finding the balance between showing the audience what its about and what will happen, but not giving away the plot completely or the outcomes.
